What you’re joining
The Human Check is a free weekly email about AI claims and their human consequences. When you enter your email, you’ll receive a confirmation email; you are only subscribed after you click the link in it. Every issue has an unsubscribe link.
What we store
Newsletter signups are handled by beehiiv, our email provider. beehiiv stores your email address, confirmation status, signup time and page, and email engagement data under its privacy policy. Addresses collected by this site’s earlier waitlist form remain in the site database until they are invited to confirm with beehiiv or deleted.
How it is used
We use the list only to send The Human Check. Subscriber emails are not displayed on the site or exposed by a public API, and are not sold or shared for advertising.
Leaving the list
Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any issue. If you joined through the earlier waitlist form, your saved removal link still deletes that record.
How long we keep it
Subscriber information is kept while you remain subscribed. After you unsubscribe, beehiiv keeps a record of the opt-out so you are not emailed again.
Contributions and reader polls
Leads and nominations store the name, public source link, explanation, and submission date. They remain private pending editorial review. Do not submit private or confidential information. A random browser cookie records your reader-poll choice so you can update it. Only aggregate vote counts are public; this informal poll does not verify unique people. Contributions are retained for review; poll choices are retained for the life of the poll. Short-lived hashed network identifiers limit automated submissions.
Directory and AI disclosure
No AI Slop is an independent directory, not an endorsement or certification service. Listed organizations have different views on AI. This website was built with AI assistance, and its initial directory summaries are AI-assisted and linked to their sources. No listed organization is represented as a partner.
